1/2"x1/2" - 1/2" Male Pipe Thread Inlet x 1/2" Female Pipe Thread Outlet.
3/4"x1/2" -
3/4" Male Pipe Thread Inlet x 1/2" Female Pipe Thread Outlet.
Installation:
On cold line to inlet of water heater.
Will relieve excess pressure build up in water heater due to thermal expansion that can lead to premature failure of tankless water heater, burst water lines and flooding.
These are set at 100 PSI so they will only open if the line pressure gets that high and are less likely to leak and drip as a 75 PSI Model yet still provide the necessary protection for your tankless water heater.
Note: If after installation these do open it is probably due to either not having a thermal expansion tank installed, having an undersized thermal expansion tank installed, having a failed thermal expansion tank or other cause of excess pressure build up over 100 PSI possibly due to water pump pressure switch malfunction, city main pressure fluctuation or water hammer.
