Antique Ceremonial / Marching Chinese Drum w/BRASS insert Decorative Painting

! The drum is wood with decorative painting on it. As you can see the paint is crackling around the drum. The skins are intact and have a design.They are secured with round top tacks. The top and bottom skins have some paint loss, primarily around the edges. The brass ornamental receiver on the middle area of the drum is joined with  flat head tacks. On its side the drum is 8 3/4 inches long. The top skins diameters are 6 5/8ths to 6 7/8th inches. This drum was purchased at an estate auction in Charleston SC.
